So last week my batchmates KC and Queenie celebrated their 17th birthday in the form of a white-paint party ala Katy Perry. I came really late because i watched my brother's concert (WHICH WAS AMAZEBALLS!) a good hour and a half away thanks to the traffic, but from what i heard it was really good.

by the time i got there people stopped dancing and i there wasnt much else to do other than..ummm i dunno PAINT FIGHT! But as fun as it was, i don't think im ever going to do it again because the paint was so bloody hard to get out. Its been a week and i still have bits of blue in my hair.

Oh well, at least the pictures were off the chain!

GUESS WHO FAILED THEIR UPCAT YESTERDAY??! i'm just kidding, i won't know the severity of my failure until February.My optimism just shines through, doesn't it. (Oh yeah, for you non-Filipinos, the UPCAT is the entrance exam for the University of the Philippines. It's the biggest school here, i think. And it's definitely got the most diverse student population in the country.)

Well this is an exceptionally scary picture of me. I'm with Diablo, the sexy stallion. He's been in the front lawn of the house I'm renting ever since we got here. He's a little "avant garde" (?) for my family's taste but we decided to just leave him be, since he's pretty much drilled into the ground. I've been dying to take pictures with him for ages. And RESULT!! He has proven to be quite natural in front of the camera.

I tried to fix my photos because it was so rainy and my camera lens fogged up. The results are a bit trippy, but I like it. Isn't life just awesome?

HERE IT IS! My favorite photoshoot by far! possibly my longest post ever. This took a lot of hard work and patience to choose and ORGANIZE, so i implore you, dear reader, to enjoy this massive photo dump.

i had the blazer custom made in Hoi An (which i WILL do a post about), over my prom dress, i slapped an H&M scarf on my head, and pulled on my F21 studded boots. I did the makeup for everyone while Bela and Erica took the photos. We soooo did not coordinate our outfits but whatevs, we cool that way!

i'll give you guys a break from my face (sort of) before the massive photodump of solo photos, and give you a glimpse of my cooler-than-me partners in crime; Bela, Erica and Bea!

These were taken on a recent trip to Enchanted Kingdom (a.k.a the fail Filipino answer to Disneyland, et al.) with 7 of my best friends in the whole entire world.

Got back from america 2 days ago, and my friends and i got together and shot this shoot(redundant, i know) literally as soon as i got off the plane. My friends are so gorgeous, and i look like a banana, great.

My friend Marga and I were in charge of the makeup. I felt very out of place in the shoot because everyone was wearing pretty dresses while i look like Max Fischer in drag (80's style). But im glad it turned out well. I found my camera charger again, so i think were back to business. I need a tripod i swear

My loafers busted open, so im having them cobbled as we speak. I dont really mind though, considering they were only 50 cents (WHUT?) and the proprietor of the garage sale i found them in was literally the sweetest old woman i have ever met. Ever. She even gave me a whole dollar instead of 50 cents change because she couldnt find coins and could not find it in her heart to take the extra 50 cents for nothing. My heart literally broke from how sweet she was.

This is my prom dress, beautiful ain't it? I named her Olivia. She made me smile :)
There aren't any words to express how beautiful, how ladylike i felt in it. Ill probably never feel the same way again. I'm not usually this prim, but i think prom is an excuse to step outside of yourself and be someone new.

I have to admit this dress was really expensive, like so expensive that next year I'm just going to have to buy off the rack (im keeping my eyes peeled for a vintage one). But Debbie (Co, the designer) did such a wonderful job. Its so pretty, i cant stop gushing over it! it was definitely worth all the lectures.

Ill keep this dress forever, maybe my future daughter could wear it to her prom. Who knows?

The event itself was wonderful! Decor Committee shout out! I have to admit prom is a little overrated, but it was so much fun! It really is the night of nights. I doubt my even my wedding will be this awesome

Hey friends! Long time no blog! Ive been swamped with schoolwork (no exaggeration) and a billion papers due in the next few weeks. AND PROMM! AGGHH!! i haven't even started on my dress D:. I just got so fed up i just had to post and rant! SCHOOL SUCKS! SCHOOL SUCKS! RAAAAAR!

Why hello, my little geometric splattered airy scarf thing! You only cost me 79 HK in H&M, yes you did! Errmmm, yes....I love this scarf so much i baby talk to it. FUN.Its great because its so light and breezy that i could wear it in the Phillipine summer and not kill myself through heat exhaustion. I wore it today actually with the outfit, but i didnt get to take a picture with it, *sigh*

Seeing as its very hard to blog with a camera, i asked my dad to get me a new one for christmas + birthday (cause its a little imposing on the wallet). Any recommendations? Im looking for a nice digital camera that isnt an OMG-lets-take-drunk-pictures-of-ourselves-and-go-shopping kind of camera, but not an SLR either (not yet worthy). Something thats a bit transitional, because i want to teach myself photography. I like canon cause im used to it, and the flash makes me pretty *flutter eyelashes*. But whatevs. Any tips, hints, suggestions, roll calls, hoots, wolf whistles, yo mamas, anything!, can be said in the comment box

Hey yall! its christmas time and for myself, id like to lovingly ask my parents if i could order a nice pair of ankle boots from the states. i have my eye on these 2 but im only allowed to order one pair. The one on the left is from journeys ($50) and the ones on the right are forever 21 ($37). Ive been eyeing the ones on the left for a while but then i saw the f21 ones and i wasnt too sure. Thats why i turned to you guys!

Pros : Journeys

-ive been eyeing them for months

-they (finally went on sale)

-the studs arent as ostentatious

-they arent in every single human beings closet (i think)

-good height

Cons :

- kind of expensive (i have to consider the shipment and all)

- i saw them on a model in teenvogue and they didnt look that great on her.

- im not too big on the folds

- heel is skinny (i like it but im afraid it'll bend inwards or something)

- ive never ordered from journeys before so im not too sure on the sizing

- its backorder, itll take eons probably to send to my aunts house.

Pros : f21

- cheaper

- i dont HAVE to order it, i can probably send my aunt scouting for them in forever 21.

- i like the shape and the material looks nice (not some weird patenty thing)

- ive tried f21 shoes before, and im sure of my size

- I like how the studs are arranged, so its kind of like a business in the front, party at the back (mullet...mmmmmm)

- chunky heel but not too chunky

Cons :

-im scared itll deteriorate after a bit, as i tend to wear my heels till they die

-ria says the studs are too gimmicky

Hey guys! How you doin? This is what i wore monday to the photoshoot (pictures coming soon i swear). Was feeling super-tired that day, i had to chug down a huge mug of black coffee, and i dont even drink coffee, just to act "normal" (and im not that much of a sunshiny person to begin with). Maybe im anemic? Stressed? i dunno.

I like this outfit! I feel like Karla, only fatter. woohoo!

They came in last week, and i've been waiting for them since, i dunno, july? it.was.worth.the.WAIT! my mom bought them for me when she was in london and she gave me a vague description of them which made me less-than-enthusiastic (especially since i wanted these insane blue suede skyscraper heels), but these are so much better than i imagined, even better than the blue ones for shizzle! Theyre actually quite comfortable, or maybe my feet just get numb, haha

hey y'all, hope you had a great halloween. My one was fun, albeit uneventful. No trick or treating (ughhhhh) but its all good. Candle-lit dinner (due to the power outage) with 6 of the greatest people ever (miss you reese and katrina!), how "romantic"! We were supposed to watch scary films but we chickened out and ended up singing kareoke. "Crazy in Love" is a fucking hard song. No wonder Beyonce is so fit! i have no more voice. Hey! Okay, so the storm didn't hit (Thank YOUUUU) but i've been busy as hell this week. I just finished this HUGE MEGA LARGE GARGANTUAN project where I had to do a monologue, in Filipino. Those close to me know Filipino isn't exactly my forte (in other words, im terrible). BUT IM ALLLLIIVVEE! HAHA, take that world!

Anyway, im craving summer more than anything! these pictures are from a slightly old photoshoot that my friends and I conducted during summer. Hey Guys, sorry i havent been posting, ive been out of town for the beginning of the week, swamped with homework in the middle, and doing volunteer work for the last bit of it.

As some of you may know, one of the worst floods in the history of my country (the Philippines) has occured. A months rain in 6 HOURS! I was unfortunate enough to be marooned for 2 hours on the road during the beginning (im one of the lucky ones! some people were stranded ON THEIR ROOFS for a good 5 hours). Its made me realize how lucky i am to live in a safe place and im glad none of my dear family or friends got hurt. I was supposed to do some more volunteer work today but i caught a nasty cold and i dont think evacuees would appreciate snot-ridden sandwiches.

Anyway, since the government is moving at a snails pace with relief efforts (13 rubber boats for the WHOLE metro manila WTF?!) everyone and anyone can and should be able to help. Check with your local schools, parishes, community centres, ANYWHERE! and lend a helping hand. Even just making sandwiches (like me) or donating old blankets could help. Be a good citizen!

this post is long overdue and i apologize for the delay. Ive literally been hanging on for dear life in the sea of schoolwork our teachers have been giving us.This post will be quite sporadic (yes bad blogger bad blogger ) UGHHHH

Ive had that kimono since i was 5 and i absolutely adore the colour. The fan was also a gift from my dad on one of his trips to japan. I love it so much it became my header :)).

I think those are my second favorite heels, after the stella lunas. I got them because they remind me of those tristrap Chloes. AND theyre comfortable as hell. What more could you want.

Im going to have to make this real quick as its late and i should be studying for my 5 tests lined up for tomorrow (please oh please let school be cancelled!). Ill be honest that i didnt wear the leather jacket today, considering it was 33 degrees Centigrade (remind me why i spent half my london budget on this jacket again?). But i just love the pairing so much. Its so simple yet so vivid. Yes, the pictures are crappy but only because it was late, and i was to tired to set up a complicated backdrop (fail). Whatevs!

Hey World! How you be!

I was in a pretty sappy mood today at school. This easy week came with a hefty price tag, 5 quizzes on monday, all of them subjects Im pretty much crap at. Things got so much better as soon as I landed home, Pizza and cran-raspberry juice is the ultimate pick me up! I got really inspired when i saw the window beside my stairs. The lighting was absolutely heaven sent! Especially since its been raining quite a lot meaning no outdoor shots (peace out mother nature). word.

I loved this shirt the moment i lay eyes on it. Its actually a dress, still is, i believe its a mumu from when my mother was pregnant. HAHA! I still like it as a dress so what i did to make it that length was......(i cannot believe Im saying this online) *drum roll*..I tucked the excess into my bra. Haha.

Its actually quite effective, and holds well especially if you have loads of fabric that wont fit into your pants. Its the grown up version of pinning your underwear to your shirt. NERD FOR LIFE. I will now walk into my lame corner, thank you very much.

I need a tripod, i swear.

My sister bugged me into doing a post today, especially as i have no homework whatsoever so i have no excuse. As anticlimactic as it is, yes my outfit is very dull and boring i wont even write down where the stuff came from. Ha ha.

spent the day pulling my hair out at school, nagging ria about how her framing is off, and basically being a crabby bitch. It rained and im tired. Lets hope im cheery tomorrow, eh chaps?

Ive forgotten how theraputic blogging was, its a good place to vent, to share your dreams ,passions and day to day experiences. Its also a good motivation to get out of a rut and not settle for your tshirt and jeans uniform cause "you dont have time". Yeahhhhh...Anyway, expect more posts real soon. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not....depends if school doesnt smother me first.

Excuse my large thighs. They don't look this big in reality (i hope). Found my camera in my family room. Yipeekayay *horse whinnying in the background*! .Really couldn't be bothered to wear any other shoes other than my trusty vans. Love the texture of that blouse, I'd run around clad only in that blouse, but im afraid of burning people eyes out of their sockets(its see-through as anything). The pictures do not do it justice (ria is a terrible photographer..Ha Ha) Went "thrifting" last saturday at the woodrose flea market. I really wish i bought that white silk pajama top. I shall Google-stalk now for something similar.

OK, this is cheating a bit. I was supposed to wear this outfit on Christmas Eve but, i wasn't able to (a long and petty story, don't ask). Sorry i haven't been posting, i have so much schoolwork, you can't even imagine. I'm actually supposed to study for my exams today, so this post will be super short. I found the dress in the pile of odd items at my class garage sale. I immediately thought "BALENCIAGA KNOCKOFF!!" (hence the title, i can dream HAHA!)

i bought it thinking it wouldn't fit me since it seemed rather small, and i would just give it to my sister. Then i tried it on and BAM! perfect fit. I need to alter the sleeves a bit, but over all its awesome brocade print, tulip skirt, poufy sleeves(tucked in because i need a few alterations as the shoulders are too big) and turned up collar. I need a leather jacket and bitchin' boots and a bowler...

BOWLER!! charlie chaplin is my best friend, really.I NEED THIS! NOW! (these are incredibly hard to come by here). These hats kick fedoras in the bee-hind

Just a small tribute to probably one of the most beautiful actresses EVER! LOOK AT THOSE EYES! Theyre like feiry dark pools of awesome that are so frightening, yet so childlike. Theda was very popular in the silent era, but eventually faded with the coming of sound(not that she was unsuitable, but her husband didnt allow her to make films). Its my dream as an (aspiring) actor to play her one day in a movie. But, only a few of her films survive today and very little is known about her so that dream may never materialize.

Nevertheless, this woman is a total icon! SHE IS THE ORIGINAL GOTH GIRL! that makeup, that hair, THAT SNAKE BRA (i want me one of those puppies)! While she may not be my absolute favorite actress(AUDREY HEPBURN = <3), shes still very interesting to watch(one of her movies are up on youtube). And apparently she was very nice in person. Gosh i wish i couldve met her...

hi world! im back. I was supposed to start blogging eons ago, but i got swamped with schoolwork (most of which is still not done...sad truth that is my life). Ive been alternating between dressing good, and looking a total bum(in a bad way, think sweatpants.) i know this isnt the greatest outfit to start my new blog with, but i am soo in love with the shirt/hat/necklace/boots. The shirt is like my dream flannel, part Kurt Cobain/ part Peter Pan. Im tempted to paint a large black lightning bolt on a pair of jeans. Will be getting to that once i finish my mounds of schoolwork and fix my musical duties.

Bought a bikini today. Its billabong. Perfect for surfing/ bumming/ lollygagging about. :). Im craving leather converse shoes. Ill keep you posted coz i gotta split!
